MP ATTACKS POST OFFICE CLOSURES

Local MP Nigel Waterson has attacked Post Office plans to close five post offices in the area. This follows the announcement that there is to be a consultation on proposals to close the post offices in Willingdon Village, Marine Parade, The Broadway, Etchingham Road, and Farmlands Way in Wannock.

Nigel said: “I know that all these post offices are vital for their local communities and are popular with residents. They are especially important to older people. Although the Wannock post office is just outside my constituency, it is used by many of my constituents.”

“We will not take these latest Post Office plans lying down. The campaign has already started to save the Willingdon Village post office. I will also be fighting alongside local residents to save the others.”
