MP GETS CLEAN BILL OF HEALTH
Eastbourne MP Nigel Waterson has received confirmation from Sir Thomas Legg’s independent investigation into his parliamentary allowances that there are “No Issues” to report.
Nigel commented: “I am naturally pleased that Sir Thomas has confirmed in his letter that all my claims were genuine and justified. This is actually the third independent investigation to reach the same conclusion.”
“I hope my constituents will also be pleased (but not I hope surprised) that I have not been the subject of any criticism; nor have I been required to repay any money.”
“But I still believe the whole system now needs root and branch reform. David Cameron has given a clear lead on these issues, in contrast to the other party leaders. We need a general election as soon as possible, to clean up Parliament as well as to elect a fresh government.”
